Summer on the Farm

June–August

Summer on the Farm is a time to have fun outdoors...after the chores are done of course!

Children will learn what life would have been like for kids living on a farm in 1900 – pumping water for the animals, bedding the barn with straw, and meeting the horses, pigs, sheep, and chickens up close. Once the work is all done, participants will try 19th-century games on the farmhouse lawn, and finally relax and watch the fields roll by from their seats on a hay-filled wagon.

Cost & Scheduling

– $10 per person for children ages 1+ and adults (including parents & teachers)

– Groups of 5–15 (Scholarships are available for certain programs.)

– Children must be accompanied by an adult, and all participants age one year and older must have tickets. Programs begin promptly at 10 a.m., and are rain or shine except in cases of severe weather. Each session has a minimum of 5 participants; in the event that registration closes before we reach the minimum, farm staff will contact registrants to reschedule for another day. Summer on the Farm is offered on CommunityPass on Tuesdays and Thursdays; Wednesdays are reserved for large groups.
